CCG OIS consultation 2015
The CCG Outcomes Indicator Set provides clear, comparative information for CCGs about the quality of health services and the associated health outcomes. The indicators measure outcomes at CCG level to help inform priority setting and drive local improvement. The areas covered by the indicators contribute to the five domains of the NHS Outcomes Framework.
HSCIC works in partnership with NHS England and NICE on the development of the indicator set. The NICE CCG OIS Advisory Committee considers the suitability of a range of indicators and makes recommendations to NHS England who decide on the final set of indicators to be used.
HSCIC develops, tests and publishes the specifications and data for the indicators. . The indicators are calculated from a range of existing data sources, including Hospital Episode Statistics, Mental Health Minimum Data Set and audits in a range of subject areas. Production of the indicators does not require any additional data collection by CCGs or Hospital Trusts.
Between 2 February and 2 March we are inviting interested parties to review the proposed indicators and complete the short questionnaires based on the following topic areas:
- Acute upper gastrointestinal bleeding
- Heavy menstrual bleeding
- Infection prevention and control
- Neonatal jaundice
- Peripheral arterial disease
- Surgical site Infection
We are also providing a CCG OIS indicator consultation document [119kb] which allows you to review and comment on the indicators in one document, if you prefer.
If you wish to submit more general feedback about the indicators, you can contact us via email: firstname.lastname@example.org
