Patient Experience of Diabetes Services

Patient Experience of Diabetes Services (PEDS) survey is part of the National Diabetes Audit, which will measure patient experiences in primary care and specialist services.

What does it measure?

The Patient Experience of Diabetes Services (PEDS) survey will measure the diabetes healthcare experiences of people with diabetes in England and Wales.

PEDS will test an online approach to collecting information from people with diabetes about their care, using a short validated questionnaire. Any diabetes service in England and Wales will be able to use the PEDS survey to get feedback from their patients.

Who manages the PEDS Survey?

The Patient Experience of Diabetes Services (PEDS) survey is commissioned by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership (HQIP) and delivered by the Health and Social Care Information Centre, working in collaboration with Diabetes UK and Public Health England (PHE)

How to participate

The pilot survey closed on the 31st January 2014.

If you would like to register your interest for any future roll out of PEDS or have any questions please contact PEDS@diabetes.org.uk

Publication of the audit results

The PEDs Survey Evaluation Report is now available, this report describes the pilot survey methodology and approach, and summarises the lessons learnt and recommendations for future rollout.  It also provides the information that was collected as part of the pilot survey.
