The Health and Social Care Information Centre strategy: An invitation for comments and feedback
What are we requesting?
We are inviting comment and feedback on the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) strategy, which was published on October 23 in draft form [612kb]. The strategy draws together the HSCICs current activities and programmes, setting out a development path for the organisation within the framework established by the Information Services Commissioning Group (ISCG) and the HSCICs own statutory obligations.
In particular, the strategy confirms the HSCICs commitment to support the ISCG and its key partner NHS England in delivering the Secretary of State's technology and information priorities.
Why are we asking for comments and feedback?
Your views will:
- help us make informed decisions on the final version of the strategy.
- help us understand how different people and organisations respond to and prioritise the key points in the strategy.
- ensure that the strategy is relevant and meaningful to the people who will be affected by the changes and improvements it proposes.
The ISCG is currently developing a technology and information strategy for the health and social care system as a whole, through a process led by NHS England. The HSCIC strategy document will contribute to that process, with the ISCGs strategy due to be published in March.
