Report on data quality published

October, 30 2014: A report which supports health and social care organisations to improve the reliability of the data they produce is published today by the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC).

The Quality of Nationally Submitted Health and Social Care Data, England, Annual Report, 2014, Experimental Statistics is aimed at data professionals across the health and social care system.

It provides information on how the HSCIC assesses and works with providers to improve the quality of data it receives. The report includes two case studies on the benefit of improved data quality for patient care.

1. The Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC) was established on April 1 2013 as an Executive Non Departmental Public Body (ENDPB). It is England's trusted data source, delivering high quality information and IT systems to drive better patient services, care and outcomes.
