Burden Reduction Plans

The HSCIC Burden Advice and Assessment Service (BAAS) has worked closely with the Department of Health (DH) and Arm's Length Bodies (ALBs) to support the development of Burden Reduction Plans for 2016-17.

Containing recommendations for collection owners and data providers on ways to reduce the burden placed on the health and social care system in England.

Findings and recommendations from visits at 16 acute trusts. The visits included observations, interviews and a structured survey with clinical, administrative and management staff.
