What About YOUth?

This consultation closed on 28 February 2016.

The findings from the consultation are available in the pdf icon What About Youth (WAY) Consultation Outcomes Report [642kb]. The HSCIC would like to thank all those who took part in the consultation.

Background to the consultation

What About YOUth? 2014 (WAY 2014) is a newly-established survey, commissioned by the Department of Health and designed to collect local authority level data on a range of health behaviours amongst 15 year-olds.

The survey has collected data on general health, diet, use of free time, physical activity, smoking, drinking, emotional wellbeing, drugs and bullying. A report of the findings was published in December 2015.

Aims of the consultation?

The HSCIC is undertaking this consultation to find out more about how useful the survey findings are, how the data are being used and any improvements that could be made. We would also like your views on the outputs from the survey (e.g. the report, the tables and the dataset).

This information is important to ensure that the survey is an effective use of public resources and provides value for money.

Your views will help the HSCIC and the Department of Health to make decisions about any future survey.
